Passenger Bill of Rights: Fed Up!

Don’t  Take it Any Longer!

Imagine being stuck ten hours on a plane, on the tarmac. Not going anywhere.
No water or food.
No working toilets.

That’s what happened to Jet Blue passengers…and passengers on Northwest and American, and the list goes on.

No, the skies are definitely not friendly.

Passengers are mad as hell and they’re not going to take it any longer.

They’re lobbying congress to come up with a Passenger Bill of Rights that insists airlines explain exactly why a flight is delayed, and insists that airlines provide adequate food, water, sanitary facilities and access to medical attention for passengers left stuck on planes.

The Bill of Rights demands airlines return passengers to terminals when delays occur, and under no conditions should a plane sit on the tarmac for longer than 3 hours.

Common sense?
We think so.

However, the last time passengers tried for a Bill of Rights, the airlines blocked them.

If you buy jug of milk and it’s sour, you return it.  The supermarket apologies, gives you a fresh carton and you feel valued.
But if your seat is broken on a long flight, or if anything else goes wrong with your flight experience, you’re unlikely to get a sympathetic hearing or fair compensation.

If you protest, you could be cited for “air rage.”

The airlines spend millions in lobbying congress to keep control of any legislation affecting customer relations. But if you‘ve had it and believe a passenger bill of rights is the right thing to do, make some noise and tell the industry and the government that you’re mad as hell and are not going to take it anymore!

Maybe this time it’ll be different. Maybe the airlines will listen.

What do you think? Are you going to take it any longer?
